Meet Your Passionate Midwife!

With an incredible 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I am a registered midwife and nurse who absolutely loves providing exceptional care to women and their families! I proudly graduated from Stellenbosch University with a B-Cur degree in 1993 and further specialized in midwif and neonatal care through an Honors degree at Somerset Hospital.

In 1996, I launched my own community practice, where I focused on antenatal education, home and water births, and well baby clinics—what a rewarding journey it has been! My enthusiasm for education led me to obtain a Teaching diploma and a Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology in 2014, which opened doors for me to teach midwifery and nursing at the university level.

After an exciting move to New Zealand in 2017, I became a core midwife at Waikato DHB and later embraced a teaching role at ARA. Today I’m thrilled to serve as a lead maternity care provider in the Selwyn region while also sharing my knowledge at ARA. My dedication and passion for midwifery truly make me a vibrant asset to the healthcare community!
